Our Beginning
The seeds of Aw Shucks Gourmet Popcorn were sown during a nostalgic trip back to our home state of Nebraska, the largest popcorn producer in the country. Inspired by the charming popcorn shops in so many towns - big and small, Karla embarked on a mission to bring hand-crafted gourmet popcorn to the vibrant community of Hendersonville in Western North Carolina.
First Kernels Popped
In April 2023, Karla and her son, Spencer, turned their passion into a family-owned and operated business, launching Aw Shucks Gourmet Popcorn. They started with a delightful batch of Caramel Corn, followed by cheddar, and then banana. It wasn't long before their lineup expanded to include enticing flavors like Oreo Cookie, Sour Fruit, Cheeseburger, Bacon Cheddar Jalapeño, and Dill Pickle, to name a few. Don't miss our signature flavor, Banana Pudding! We love pushing the boundaries of popcorn flavors. If you have one in mind, just ask—we're up for the challenge!
